I am so sick of carpool lanes. This is why, yesterday I saw a Volkswagen with Sonora Mexico plates driving along next to me in the carpool lane with two people inside. Of course it was only me driving so I had to sit back and watch as these tourists were given priority over me. What kind of country do we live in where we give complete foreigners and strangers free access to the crown jewel of our roadways while the very people that pay for these roads have to sit back and watch in anger and disbelief. Amazingly stupid, Caltrans I hope you are reading this.
On the plus side at least our carpool lanes are not permanent like the ones in SoCal. What a dumb idea they've implemented down there with their full time carpool lanes seperated by not one, but TWO sets of double-yellow lines. One set of double yellow lines separates cars from oncoming traffic around where I live but people in L.A. are so stupid that only two sets of double-yellow lines will remind them to stay the fuck in their lane. Unbelievable.
